Then I saw this little Jewel, a Russian Hefe.. Figured it was worth a shot, it was only a buck.

Then found the Sam Adams long shot beer, now I hate SA, but figured this might be worth a shot.
Then a few Montecristos , and a few different Rocky patel cigars.

Might have to wait on the Belgian. The reviews where not kidding about the yeast. Its like a mini yeast cake in their, and its not settled down yet.. Think im going to try the hefe.

Fuck the Germans( oh wait I am one), but anyways this Hefe, kicks all others asses. Fucking great ass wheat beer. By far the best hefe I have ever had, has a slight clove/banana flavor, also some spiciness to it. Mouthfeel is almost creamy. and appearance, well I will let you be the judge.

Ill take a couple more, now if the beer store was only still open.

Haha, they got you too! I can not believe that those two beers won, they had to change the recipes around, there is no way that they are what the people entered. The third one is supposed to be coming out soon, it was a Pliny clone IIRC, and they couldn't get enough hops to do it in time. Plus one of the winners works for Sam, I thought that wasn't allowed.
Sounds like some good beers otherwise. I will have to keep an eye out for the Hefe, I have had the Baltic porter from the same brewery and it was really awesome, i think that they have the Hefe at my local.

Drinking the Grape pale ale right now, really its a pretty decent beer, better than anything else I have had from them. I would drink it again, and would really like to see a recipe. Now to light up a Rocky Patel. :x

Two of the winners from the pack are outside entrants (Mike McDole and Rodney Kibzey) and that last entry is always left open for someone who works for the company.

Abbaye Des Rocs Grand Cru
Pour- Very very carbonated took a few min. to get it all poured. Huge head, that sits nicely above the glass.
Aroma- Wow, very fruity/ malty Pretty amazing smelling beer. Reminds me of a Rochefort 8 aroma.
taste- WOW, really nice beer. Some what sweet, but makes up for it. Very fruity/ spicy with a huge malt back ground.
Overall- This is a really really well done beer. I have had a few Belgians lately that have not met my expectations. But this one is worth every penny I paid for it. (And it was not cheap). Only neg. is they need to work on bottling, has a huge amount of settlement in the bottle, I mean like 3 times more than I do in a HB that I did not put in the secondary.
