I have had my 03 VW Passat for almost 8 years and I put on all 109K miles. This is the longest I have ever had a car. I had to put it out to pasture today...Took it in to the mechanic a couple days ago and he confirmed the Turbo was leaking oil and the suspension needed to be replaced.

I picked up a used Saturn Vue.

Dead at 109k? Ouch. Leaking turbo seals aren't too hard to replace yourself, same with the suspension.

Parts alone were $4000 - It needed all of the suspension - control arms and all. The Turbo wasn't just the seals - it was starting to whine.

Thanks Mike - I needed something with AWD/4WD, low miles and a low payment. After trade in it only cost me 3g.

I test drove one of those - that effn thing was fast! Got a V6 with AWD needed something that was gonna be able to cart the kids around in the winter.

We have an RX300. Its not bad- I would have rather gotten something like a Trailblazer SS. But we couldnt find one that wasnt beat to hell

Awww, dude, the RX300 is, according to multiple objective sources, the gayest automobile ever (aside from the Probe, of course). I'd rather rock an AMC Eagle than one of those faggy RX300's!

My average car has had 160k on it before I sell it. I'm at 98k on my Mountaineer right now and hope I get at least that over the next 5 years.

It's going to be mandatory on 2012 models. It was on Yahoo news awhile back. There's already people learning to re-write the computer so you can use it manually.

Dude - My Passat was modified...Upgraded Turbo, chip, exhaust, Wheels and tires.

Was almost top speed of 160...

I am full of shit - I didn't modify anything...But that car was awesome. It was a Family car but had some balls and could get up and go - I did hit a top speed of 130.
