Planning on doing a NYC trip this holiday season, but looks like we may have to drop the Empire State from places to see. Although the chances are probably slim with just a short visit (nothing overnight) it still really freaks me out to think about hauling Bedbugs back to my hometown...

Wow, interesting fact about them. Apparently they utilize Traumatic Insemination (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traumatic_insemination), the act of physically piercing the abdomen of the female to fertilize the eggs. Gross.

Before booking any hotel room, I always check the Bedbug Registry (http://bedbugregistry.com/) first...if there is a single report I find a different place to stay. Nasty little fuckers...

Make sure you check what the reports say first, I just checked the Flamingo Las Vegas (where I normally stay) and out of 13 reports, a couple say "no bedbugs found". But still a useful site.

Those fuckers are really something else ... South Florida is also getting invided by them. GO figur...all these Yankees moving down South
