I have a big bag of carafa III and have used it a few times. I like what it imparts. I really like the dark caramel, full, dark chocolate/fruit type flavors, but I'm curious about something. Everywhere I read about it, it says it's "dehusked" What's this mean? The grain looks just like any other dark malted grain I've used. It still has it's "shell" and needs to be crushed. Is there a secondary husk or something I don't know about?
