Thanks everyone! birthday was ok... the wife and I went to Frankenmuth MI for the World Expo of Beer. It was a great time. tho after 10 4oz samples my pallet was destroyed! and it doesnt help when the first booths I hit were all belgian styles with like 8% abv or more. For the most seemed like everyone just had a few of there staples and maybe one other beer that I havent seen. But I guess That is what they should have...I just thought people would be pullin out the good stuff. But it was super cool to try alot of the brewpubs that I havent been able to hit...I was pretty dissapointed to that there werent any reps from the brewerys I saw 2 and they were both local MI guys.

This was what I allways thought mead should be.
It was thick and smelled of Honey and cinnamon and I mean like raw honey not what ended up being fermented. It tasted like candy that burned on the way down it was absolutely amazing... I will be trying to make something like it since there really isnt much I can find around here (yet) and they dont ship to MI, If you can get some do it you wont regret it.

But best of all Was the german performance and the fact that it was all Indoors NO SUN BURN for my white ass!
